Open wireless Internet access: panOULU (public access network OULU) network provides in its coverage area wireless broadband Internet access to everybody. panOULU network is provided in cooperation by City of Oulu, University of Oulu, Oulu Polytechnic and Oulun Puhelin Plc.
Status. AP in the junction of Aleksanterinkatu and Hallituskatu is temporarily out of use due to the renovation of the property. AP's in NUKU are temporarily out of use due to the renovation of the property
Network structure: panOULU network is the joint public network of City of Oulu, University of Oulu, Oulu Polytechnic and Oulun Puhelin Plc. panOULU network comprises of the visitor networks of the aforementioned actors, which can be accessed by the account holders of the actors and visitors via e.g. a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) connection. The connecting traffic is routed via a separate link network.
